This congress reflects a shared vision: bringing together leading experts of internists and surgeons, healthcare professionals, researchers, innovators including the patient representatives to advance knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and shape the future of obesity care.
The joint meeting of IFSO-EC and EASO represents a unique opportunity to bridge perspectives and expertise across metabolic bariatric surgery, obesity medicine, research, prevention, education, public health, and patient-centred care. On behalf of the International Federation for the Surgery and Other Therapies for Obesity – European Chapter (IFSO-EC) and the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the Joint Congress of IFSO-EC and EASO in Munich, from 18–21 May 2027.
This congress represents a unique opportunity to strengthen collaboration across disciplines united by a common goal: improving the lives of people living with obesity through comprehensive, evidence-based care.
Today, obesity treatment is increasingly multidisciplinary, integrating pharmaceutical, surgical, nutritional, endoscopic, and behavioural approaches to provide more personalized and effective care. IFSO-EC and EASO embrace this evolution and are committed to fostering collaboration across specialties to advance treatment and improve long-term outcomes for our patients.
